Animas Data Solutions Announces New Name

Innovative Provider Data Management technology company rebrands to better reflect its core focus
Phoenix, AZ (July 27th, 2021)
Animas Data Solutions, a developer of provider data governance and management technology for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plans and risk bearing provider groups, today announced its name change to Curatus as of August 1, 2021.
What’s in a name?
Animas co-founder and CEO, Mark Fabiano explained that “when we founded Animas Data Solutions, nostalgia was clearly the primary driver in our name selection. Animas is the river that flows through my favorite little mountain town of Durango, Colorado. As we continue to grow, adding new clients and gaining broader exposure among health plans, ACOs, and other risk-bearing provider groups, a more grown-up name seems to be in order.”
“Given the company’s laser focus on more accurate provider data to enable nearly every kind of healthcare administrative transaction through a truly unique Provider Data Management platform (ProviderLenzSM), our name should distil what our technology does for the world of healthcare administration,” said Jarrod Mandozzi, Animas co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer.
Timing of the name and brand transition
We are excited to announce that on August 1, 2021, Animas Data Solutions becomes Curatus, and we roll out our new branding. Mandozzi assures that “while our name is changing, our customers and partners can be confident you will receive the same great service, only with a name we feel better describes who we are.”

About Animas Data Solutions (soon to be Curatus)
Provider data management has been a fragmented undertaking, utilizing multiple vendors engaged by various operational areas within a health plan. This approach results in high data error rates, unnecessary costs, lost revenue, and heavy administrative burden. Curatus is a privately held technology company that offers full-service provider data curation, enrichment, management, and governance to the Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, commercial payer markets, as well as a variety of risk-bearing provider groups.
ProviderLenz, the company’s flagship technology platform facing off against the problem of continuously changing provider data, curates and disseminates enriched provider data in real-time and behind-the-scenes for ALL payer use cases based on a single ‘source of truth’ Master Provider Index. This means that all operational processes within a payer’s organization are always using the same and most up-to-date provider data available. All this is achieved with a single vendor and with no changes to a payer’s current IT infrastructure.
